An employee since 1996, Denise values the family-oriented culture that makes KNN Public Finance a great place to work. She started her career at KNN as an administrative assistant, working in the file room and at the reception desk and typing letters and invoices. Over the years, Denise’s responsibilities have grown to support the schools group with designing and developing various client services and marketing presentation materials, producing financing schedules, and organizing transaction closing books. She lends a hand to other departments by assisting with human resources projects and providing word processing for official statements and continuing disclosure documents.

Born and raised in Oakland, Denise earned an A.A. degree in Fashion Merchandising from Brooks College in Long Beach, but found she was drawn to working with children in the Head Start program in her hometown. This led her to the study of Human Development at California State University at Hayward, where she earned her B.A. in 2000.

Outside the office, Denise enjoys organizing and participating in family camping trips and helping out at her family’s board and care facility. Her book club meets monthly and incorporates author readings, luncheons, and local tours into its social schedule.
