Jo Anne joined KNN Public Finance at a pivotal time in the firm's history. When Kelling, Northcross & Nobriga was acquired by Zions Bancorporation in 1997, she was hired to serve as Administrative Manager and her role included serving as the human resources liaison between the two organizations. Since that time, KNN's staff has increased from 12 to 23 employees and while Jo Anne still manages human resources administration, she also wears many different hats as Office Administrator today.
Jo Anne is in charge of the large task of the daily running of the office, including receivables, expenditures, invoices, and contract compliance. She supervises the KNN production staff, ensuring that official statements, presentations, and proposals are completed accurately and on time. Her role includes event planning for client dinners, events, conferences, and staff social occasions.
Jo Anne spearheads the writing, design, and production of the firm's Annual Review. She also leads the firm's community outreach efforts, such as Rebuilding Together and Adopt-A-Family. Perhaps most importantly, she reminds KNN staffers to take their vacations so they can return to the office refreshed and ready to assist the firm's clients.
Prior to joining KNN, Jo Anne worked 14 years for two different East Bay law firms, the last nine years as Office Manager. She earned her B.S degree in Business Administration with a minor in Personnel Administration from California State University Hayward in 1986.
In her spare time, Jo Anne enjoys traveling internationally and to see her seven young grandchildren. She spent three weeks in Spain in 2007 and looks forward to her next adventure.
In 2008, she started a vacation tradition by taking her oldest grandchild on an Elderhostel Intergenerational adventure, and hopes to work her way down through the ranks with each grandchild. She also visited the Columbia Icefields in Alberta, Canada and Gettysburg. So far in 2009, she has traversed the Panama Canal on another Elderhostel adventure, and is looking forward to more adventures this year.
